We Hike to Heal, Inc is a 501(c)3 nonprofit women’s hiking group that was established by the founders of the Outdoor Journal Tour in July of 2022.
Our mission is to build an inclusive community that normalizes self care, creates a sacred space for healing and adventure, and prioritizes the mental and emotional wellbeing of all women.
Because we believe that when women thrive, the world thrives.

Because healing shouldn’t be done alone—and you don’t have to.
When you become part of the We Hike to Heal community, you’re saying yes to more than just hikes. You’re stepping into a circle of women who see you, support you, and walk beside you as you rediscover your own strength. Here’s why so many women choose to join our women’s hiking group:
We create spaces where you can take off the mask and speak from the heart. Whether you're around a campfire or joining a virtual challenge, you're met with women who truly see you—who listen without judgment and hold space with care.
Modern life pulls us in a hundred directions. We offer intentional moments to rest, reflect, and reset. From guided journaling and breathwork to meditative walks in nature, this is where you come to breathe deeply and be present.
Everything we do is designed to help you feel whole—from gentle outdoor movement to empowering challenges that remind you of your strength. No pressure, no perfection—just small steps that add up to big healing.
Women are socialized to prioritize others over themselves. Taking time to care for oneself tends to be seen as selfish and frivolous. However, you cannot “pour from an empty cup” and self care is a necessity in our overall health and wellbeing!
Outdoor Journal Tour and We Hike to Heal, Inc creates space for women to prioritize themselves. Over the years, we have proven that outdoor adventures create physical challenges that have the ability to breakdown mental and emotional barriers; which creates connection and opportunities for deep healing. As a hiking group for women that rooted in intentional wellness, we’ve seen firsthand how the trail becomes a path to transformation.
We believe that equal access to outdoor spaces is important to the health of women, and more specifically BIPOC women. In our experience some of the greatest barriers BIPOC women face in accessing outdoor spaces are trust, safety and lack of diversity. That’s why we’ve built a community of women hikers that centers safety, representation, and healing on every trail.
Our goal is to continue to create safe and equitable spaces outdoors for all women to enjoy.
